2018 the World Kidney Day and international women’s day coincide the 8th of March so it is a good time to reflect on women’s health and specifically, kidney health. Chronic kidney disease is a world -wide public health problem with about 195 million people being affected and it is the eighth leading cause of death in women (about 600,000 per year).
To raise awareness SKMCA Renal Unit and RCDR visited the Al Rashidiya family park in Ajman for free screening of blood sugar and blood pressure last week and took the opportunity to discuss health in general and risk elements by using a health quiz.
