Sheikh Khalifa Medical City- Ajman is proud to announce that Sheikh Khalifa Hospital – General and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital – Masfoot has been awarded Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation after successfully fulfilling all the accreditation requirements and standards.
With this accreditation, all four facilities of SKMCA are now internationally accredited, enhancing the UAE’s global leadership in the number of health facilities that have obtained international accreditation.
This achievement is yet another testament to the commitment and resilience of the SKMCA family in implementing an integrated operating model that is adaptable to different challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic. Through proactive planning to maintain quality and safety, the integration of comprehensive clinical care and robust organizational and support structures have been recognized as meeting international standards.
This approach also reflects SKMCA’s success in the application of effective clinical guidelines and hospital governance.
A rigorous virtual assessment process was conducted by the JCI jury members, using cutting-edge audio-visual devices, to assess the hospital’s commitment to international best practices in clinical service quality, patient safety, facility management, risk management, research and training and education of the staff.
On this occasion, SKMCA congratulates all Hospital staff members both clinical and non-clinical for their outstanding efforts throughout the entire journey particularly during a challenging time of the pandemic.
This important milestone of the SKMCA journey is a significant recognition of the dedication and professionalism of all staff in their contribution to the quality of healthcare in the UAE particularly in service of the community of Ajman, and more broadly the Northern Emirates.
